Founded in 2012, Dependable Progress (DP) is a social enterprise based in Ho Chi Minh City that empowers disadvantaged women with the potential to begin careers as domestic helpers for the expatriate community of Ho Chi Minh City. DP staff are trained with a set of standard operating procedures in cleaning along with the soft skills, English and cultural understanding needed to serve expats.
We accomplish this by first identifying qualifying trainees through our NGO network. We then make home visits and interview potential trainees. Qualifying trainees will complete a three to six week course which develops skills needed to perform domestic service catered exclusively to expatriate homes. Finally, we link our trained housekeepers with foreign born expats in need of domestic help.
Part of our training program is made possible through financial and technical support provided by REACH. REACH is Vietnam's leading vocational training organization for young people from challenging backgrounds. Over 10,000 disadvantaged students have been trained to add value to growing industries in Vietnam since 2004.
REACH has an 80% successful employment rate (measured 6 months after training completion).
